Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is covered, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
