The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
