'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
