The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
