The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
