We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without purpose, even though this is the belief of the disbelievers. Woe to the disbelievers; they will suffer the torment of fire 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 It is a Blessed Book that We have sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad), so that those possessed with minds might ponder its verses and remember. 29 We bestowed upon David (an illustrious son), Solomon. How excellent a servant (of Ours he was)! Indeed he constantly turned to Us in devotion. 30 Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot; 31 he said: 'Indeed I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord until the sun has vanished behind a veil. 32 Return them to me!' And he began to stroke their shanks and necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He said, 'My Lord, forgive me, and give me a kingdom such as may not befall anyone after me; surely Thou art the All-giver.' 35 So, We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed, 36 and also the jinn, every kind of builder and diver 37 And also others bound in fetters. 38 “This is Our bestowal. So give or withhold as you wish without account.” 39 And indeed for him in Our presence are, surely, proximity and an excellent abode. 40
