We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
