Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
