Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
