The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 Created man, 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
