Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
