Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
