The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water everflowing. 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And raised couches. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
