Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
