Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
