The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the shining star -- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
