The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky containing great stars 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
