The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in endless columns! 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
