The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe in you when no one has followed you except the lowest ones". 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
