And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
