and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
