Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
