No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning for people -- 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until death approached us". 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
