Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
