The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
