(The nation of) Aad belied their Messengers. 123 Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 125 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 "Will you, in your wanton folly, build [idolatrous] altars on every height, 128 "And do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever. 129 When you attack, you attack as tyrants do. 130 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 131 and [thus] be conscious of Him who has [so] amply provided you with all [the good] that you might think of 132 He has given you abundance of cattle and children 133 gardens and fountains. 134 "Verily, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day." 135 They said: "It is the same to us whether you preach or be not of those who preach. 136 this is nothing but the habit of the ancients, 137 and we shall never be punished' 138 So they belied him, and We destroyed them. Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
