And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
