Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
