Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
