So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 he said to them: 'I do not know you' 62 They said: nay! we have come to thee with that whereof they have been dubitating. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And We revealed to him this decree, that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." 71 By your life O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they are indeed straying in their intoxication. 72 An explosion struck them at sunrise. 73 And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 it is still there on the highway -- 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
