And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 (Moses) said: "Lord of the East and the West, and all between! if ye only had sense!" 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
