Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
