Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
