The 'Aad belied the sent ones. 123 when their brother Hud said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 124 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 127 What, do you build on every prominence a sign, sporting, 128 Erect palaces (thinking) that you will live for ever, 129 When you assault, you assault like tyrants. 130 "Be, then, conscious of God and pay heed unto me: 131 Fear Him who has given you all the things you know. 132 "Freely has He bestowed on you cattle and sons,- 133 gardens and fountains. 134 “Indeed I fear upon you the punishment of a Great Day.” 135 They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers 136 your preaching is nothing but ancient legends and we shall not face any torment". 137 And we are not going to be tormented. 138 And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 139 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
