۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people. 58 He was no more than a servant (of Ours), one upon whom We bestowed Our favours and whom We made an example (of Our infinite power) for the Children of Israel. 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. 62 When Jesus came with the signs, he said: "I have come to you with authority, and to explain some thing about which you are at variance. So fear God, and follow me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 Friends on that day will be foes, one to another,- except the Righteous. 67
