Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
