The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
