Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers." 25 Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 That we may send upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' 43 But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; 44 And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. 45 The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. 46
