Nay, and by the moon, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until death approached us". 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
