Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
