Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
