Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In an elevated garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 and raised couches, 13 and prepared goblets, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And linen spread out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
