The person endowed with faith said: “My people, follow me; I shall direct you to the Path of Rectitude. 38 My people, this worldly life is only the means (to an end), but the life hereafter will be the everlasting abode. 39 "Whosoever does an evil deed, will not be requited except the like thereof, and whosoever does a righteous deed, whether male or female and is a true believer (in the Oneness of Allah), such will enter Paradise, where they will be provided therein (with all things in abundance) without limit. 40 ۞ O my people, how is it with me, that I call you to salvation, and you call me to the Fire? 41 “You call me to disbelieve in Allah and ascribe such as partners to Him, regarding whom I do not have any knowledge – whereas I call you towards the Most Honourable, the Oft Forgiving!” 42 Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire. 43 You will soon recall what I have told you. I entrust God with my affairs. God is Well Aware of His servants." 44 And God preserved him from the evil of their scheming, whereas suffering vile was to encompass Pharaoh's folk: 45 The fire; they shall be brought before it (every) morning and evening and on the day when the hour shall come to pass: Make Firon's people enter the severest chastisement. 46 As they will noisily argue in the Fire, the weaker ones will say to the arrogant: "We were your followers, so will you take over some of our share of the fire?" 47 The arrogant will answer: "All of us are in it. Surely God has judged between His creatures." 48 And they who are in the fire will say to the keepers of hell, "Pray unto your Sustainer that He lighten, [though it be] for one day [only,] this suffering of ours!" 49 They shall say: Did not your apostles come to you with clear arguments? They shall say: Yea. They shall say: Then call. And the call of the unbelievers is only in error. 50
