▼ 79 The Snatchers
Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it. 27 He raised its height, and He has equally ordered it, 28 and making its night dark and bringing forth its morning light, 29 And afterwards spread out the earth. 30 and brought out of it its water and its pasture, 31 and making the mountains firm: 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 On the day when the great calamity comes, 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 And Hell made visible to him who can see, 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 and prefers the life of this world, 38 The Abode will be Hell-Fire; 39 And as for him who dreaded standing before his Lord, and restrained his soul from lust, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port? 42 Wherein art thou concerned with the declaration thereof! 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
