The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
