Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
