The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
