Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
