And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: verily ye are a people stranger. 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 "And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. 64 So set forth, thou with thy family, in a watch of the night, and follow after the backs of them, and let not any one of you turn round; and depart unto the place you are commanded.' 65 And We informed him the decision of this command, that at morning the root of the disbelievers would be cut off. 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 but be conscious of God and disgrace me not!" 69 They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people? 70 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
