We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
