Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
